ACANS Lights up Nova Scotia With A Vibrant Display of Cameroon’s Majestic Culture
On this crisp winter morning in Downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Association of Cameroonians in nova Scotia (ACANS) turned École Mer et Monde into a vibrant tapestry of Cameroonian culture. On February 26, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 1:45 PM, the event was a dazzling showcase of tradition, music, and unity that left attendees spellbound.
Alongside other African nations like Algeria, Burkina Faso, DRC Congo, Egypt, and Morocco, Cameroon’s stand stood out as a beacon of cultural pride and authenticity.
The ACANS members, dressed in stunning traditional Cameroonian fabrics adorned with beads and accessories, transformed the venue into a mini-Cameroon.
The air was filled with the rhythmic beats of traditional instruments and the soulful melodies of celebratory songs from various Cameroonian tribes.
The energy was infectious, and the crowd consisting of pupils and teachers of the school couldn’t help but sway, clap, and even join in the singing and dancing.
